Overflowing in blessings

The full cash drawer alone is already a big indication of the shower of blessings that the family is getting. The full diner as well as the customers who repeatedly go back for more are another. They went into business choosing what they are passionate about (food!) and gave their best in the dishes they are offering and it’s paying off!

It will mean that the kids won’t have to worry about their schooling anymore. The parents have enough to pay for tuition fees and other school stuff. The family won’t have to worry about where to get the food for tomorrow or the money to pay for the bills at the end of the month.

They now have an overflowing of blessings and they are truly thankful for it!

Quality in services offered.

One thing he learned from his late father, when it comes to doing business, quality will surely mean repeat customers. Give them quality in services offered and they will come back to you again and again. They will bring you more customers through word of mouth.

That is the reason why he makes sure the quality of the services they offer are the best. He is actually trying to get an ISO27001 certification for his company. He wants to tell the world that when it comes to his company, it gives the best service and customers won’t regret ever going to them.

Safety than regret.

Regrets come in the end. If you don’t want to regret something, better be on the safe side. Safety than regret, that’s what I always keep in mind. Better be safe than sorry.

So whenever the guys have to go out of the house, I tell them to bring their schuberth helmets with them. They drive big bikes and you know how accidents can happen when you least expect it.

Better that they are safe wearing their helmets. It won’t really prevent them from getting hurt but at least they can protect their heads and prevent serious damage to it.

One constant in her life

They often hear her talking about him and how he’s the one constant in her life. He is her anchor. He inspires her and often when she sees metal buildings in the city where she works at, she is reminded of how he keeps her on the path to her dreams.

She is honest enough to admit that without him in her life, she is probably still drifting. With him around, she is living the life that she’s always dreamed of. Yes, she could have probably done it by herself but she tends to lose focus so being near him most of the time is really best.

Finally!

James Grad

The last sibling to graduate in college, our youngest, walked up the stage to receive his diploma last April 25th at the PICC. He took up Information Technology and after four years, he was able to complete his course. Now he is ready to take on the corporate world and carve a niche for him there.

Finally! I am done sending my siblings to school. I can now focus on myself and some other very important stuff concerning the future.

Happy Monday everyone!

New book!

Divergent

My newest book Divergent by Veronica Roth. It’s a book everyone’s raving about and, of course, the bookworm in me couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. I specially asked Lucy of Fully Booked to have a copy transferred from their BHS main store to SM North Edsa The Block branch for me to be able to buy my copy.

Can’t wait to finish the book I am currently reading to start with this one!

Happy weekend everyone!

Happy birthday, Patty! ;-)

Ninin and Patty

Our baby pug turned one month old last 20th.

Happy birthday, Patty!!!

She is one adorable pug, I tell you. She would look at you and you know you are hook, line and sinker over her! When my brother puts her down on the floor, she would go chasing Kobe and Patchie around the house. We would stop whatever we are doing just to look at her and laugh at her antics!

Keeping in touch with love ones

With the recent passing of my grandma, I realized that it is really best to be in constant communication with the rest of my love ones. You just never know when they will be taken away from you! You never know when it would be the last time to talk to them so better take advantage of any moment to talk and keep in touch.

But with all the text messages and phone calls, I find that my phone bill rose. Maybe I should find something, a new plan, to keep my communication expenses to a minimum. I talked to my cousin and she told me about the plan she’s subscribed to. She kept mentioning vonage small business and I really should look into it. It might just save me from spending too much my monthly phone bills.

What do you think?

Increase in numbers

Men and women alike are conscious about their weights nowadays. You will notice the increase in numbers of those who are willing to go under the knife just to look fit and great in their bodies. You will notice the increase in numbers of those enrolling in gyms even as they claim they are receiving minimum pay and are having a hard time making both ends meet. That’s because more and more people are becoming aware of how important health is and how it’s so much better to be fit.

What I notice actually is the increase in numbers of those taking diet pills to quicken their weight loss. But I should warn you that there are side effects you might not know about. You can learn more about it before taking any in. Be wise because you don’t want to lose weight because you are already sick!

Over the rainbow bridge he went.

I posted a photo of the male Siberian Husky who mated with our female Siberian Husky Sam. He was the Devil Mask Justinne. He was well-known among the Siberian Husky community of owners. The mucho guapito Husky died just last night due to heat stroke. My brother, my sister and I were all saddened when we heard the news. Another member of the Siberian Husky community sent a text message to my brother informing him of what happened. The Huskies had a path walk at the Mall of Asia yesterday. My brother and Sam were invited but since Sam is in a delicate stage right now, my brother opted not to go. Plus it’s really hot in Manila these days so walking the dog outside is a big risk. Our Sam is always surrounded by blocks of ice for her comfort. I can’t imagine bringing him outside the house even at night as it’s really, really hot!

Justinne most likely was unable to endure the heat. It was really a sad day for the Siberian Husky community.

Rest in peace, Devil Mask.

Cross that rainbow bridge now and be with your Creator.

Wrong house

Wrong delivery. The milwaukee tool was meant to be delivered to my uncle’s house but the man who came asked my father if he could accept the delivery for my uncle as he was in a hurry to deliver a lot more tools and he was running out of time.

My dad accepted the delivery. He just called up my uncle to pick it up. My dad is known in our neighborhood and he is normally the sort of representative of our large clan when someone is looking for a relative.

Devil Mask

Devil mask

Our Siberian Husky Sam was in heat so we had stud service at home with this devil mask :)

He is a huge dog! Sam is bigger in height but in terms of width of the body, this guy is way bigger! I think the neighbors’ world stopped when this handsome dog arrived with his human.

Double blessings!

Amy and Annie are twins. They were born about a year and three months ago and are now enjoying their ride on their Baby Jogger City Mini GT double stroller. It was given to them by their godparents and their parents couldn’t be happier about it. Can you imagine how convenient it is for the parents to be going out with the stroller to put the twins unto.

When the twins were detected via sonogram, the parents couldn’t be happier. They were planning to have only two kids and they were given their two kids right away! All at once!

Double blessings. Double happiness.

Supermarket training

A cousin will be doing part time work now that school is out. He is training to use barcode scanners at the local supermarket a couple of blocks away. He will be manning one of the check out counters there.

He is excited to be working because it means he will have an allowance without asking his parents for it. He really made sure he will have a summer job. He asked family friends to refer him to companies. He is lucky the owner of the supermarket happens to be a good friend of one of our aunts so he was hired on the spot.

Grieving…

I know how hard it is to grieve at the same time take care of stuff for the wake and burial of a love one. My family and I have been there one time to many. My brother, my mother, my two grandmothers, maternal and paternal… It’s not easy, I tell you.

Funeral planning worksheet. That’s what a grieving family needs to be able to check if they have everything they need for the funeral. Because a person grieving has her mind and heart in pain. Important things will slip from the mind of a grieving person, that’s for sure. Better have a checklist ready. Or better yet, somebody outside the family who will take care of the funeral arrangements.

Hello Kitty chocolates

Hello Kitty chocolates

This box of Hello Kitty chocolates was given to my sister by a student. When I saw it I just had to take a photo of it. I was laughing at my sister because she couldn’t bring herself to eat the cute chocolates. It took her a while before she finally found the courage to bite into Hello Kitty.

Hahaha!

Thief, stay away!

Thieves are getting more and more clever nowadays. They are using technology so they can do their bad deeds! Have you heard of digital pickpockets? It’s getting rampant, financial information of an individual getting stolen even without the pickpockets getting ahold of your credit card and other important documents. They only need a device they will use and even if your credit cards are inside your wallet, chances are they will be able to get the information they need from it.

My suggestion? Go get an rfid credit card wallet. If your credit cards, ATM cards and other important ID’s are in there, you are sure that no electronic pickpocket can get ahold of the information they need from you.

Beware of this new breed of criminals. Make sure you are always on alert and protected!

Bring home the bacon!

He didn’t bring home a bacon but he did bring home the championship trophy. He’s been playing chess since he was a little kid and he developed a passion for it. He would play against anyone who had the time to play with him. He started with cousins and uncles and moved on to elders in the neighborhood.

And now he is competing nationally. He is focused on inter-country competitions now that he’s emerged as champion on nationals. He is a junior in high school. He told his parents that he plans to compete internationally by the time he finishes high school.

Not so ordinary gift

One of my uncles came home from a vacation somewhere and he had utility knives as gifts to the older men in the family. He told them that they would need it at one point so it might as well be on hand.

Actually, my uncle’s right. The older men would need it. They are planning a trip to the province and they are thinking of going to the farm. I am sure the utility knives will come in handy when they tear down the old dilapidated barn to make way for a new one.

Purple Tongue

Purple Tongue

This super big dog dropped by our place with his human. People in the neighborhood stopped whatever they were doing to stare at the super dog.

Cute, isn’t he?

But I was told that the Chow-chow is temperamental and not really good around kids. Too bad. It’s really cute and big and fluffy!

Happy Monday everyone!
